고와 해탈

점심을 먹고 나서 이빨 사이에 음식이 끼면

그렇게 불편할 수 없다.

그러나 양치질을 하거나 치간 칫솔로 음식 찌꺼기를 빼내면

그렇게 시원할 수 없다.

고란 이빨 사이에 낀 음식과 같다

해탈이란 그 음식 찌꺼기를 빼낸 후의 시원함이다

The Agony and The Nirvana

After lunch food stuck between teeth

How uncomfortable it is

But putting out the food dregs by means of

teeth brushing or tooth pick

How refreshing it is.

The Agony is same as the stuck food between teeth

The Nirvana is same as refreshing after putting stuck food out.

탐진강 물축제의 추억

내 고향 장흥, 문림의향, 문학관광기행특구*

그 장흥읍을 관통하여 흐르는 전남 3대 江인 탐진강 해 마다 7월말 쯤 열리는 정남진 장흥 탐진강 물축제에 오다**

살찐 여인의 둔부 같이 물 많은 탐진강

그 강이 수 많은 문인 들을 낳았다***

탐진강 물축제

물고기를 손으로 잡는 아이들, 인공다리를 건너가는 어른들, 그야말로 장흥 사람만이 아니라 세계인이 즐기는 축제이다

내년 7월에는 다시 한 번 장흥 탐진강 물축제에 가고 싶다

*문학관광특구~장흥은 2008년 정부로부터‘문학관광특구’로 지정되었다

Remembrance of TamJin Kang, river’s AQUA FESTIVAL

My hometown JangHeung, Literature Forest Righteous town, and “Literature & Tourist Special District.*

The TamJinKang, river flows through that town one of 3 rivers in Chunnam.

TamJinKang’s Aqua Festival** holds at the end of July of every year.

Like the fat women’hips much water TamJinKang flows.

That river beget a lot of literary man and women***

There are children catching fishes by hand, adults

crossing over the artificial bridge

So it deserves a called global feast

I’d like to come to that festival look forward to next year

지는 해를 바라보며

송광사 불일암에서 뵈었던

법정 스님을 생각한다

산에 오면 말을 잊으라시던.

세상에는 말 많고

말 많으니 탈 많은 세상 아닌가

세속에 살면서

아무 것도 소유하지 않을 수는 없겠지만

돈도

물건도

명예도

사람도

그 무엇도 욕심내지 말자

지금 가지고 있는 것에 만족하고

더 이상은 바라지 말자

As peach fruits

As snow flakes

복사꽃 피고 질 때 마다

복사꽃이 피었다

다시 봄이다

해 마다 복사꽃 필 때 마다 나는 봄앓이를 하였다

그러나 이제는 아프지 말자

복사꽃이 지고 있다

복사꽃이 지더라도 슬퍼하지 말자

꽃이 져야 탐스러운 복숭아를 맛볼 수 있으니

무엇이든 핀 것은 져야 열매를 맺는다

우리도 언젠가 질 텐데

질 때 무슨 열매를 맺을 수 있을까?

이 세상에 희망 하나 던져줄까

It’s Spring again

Every year when peach blossom blooms

I suffer from Spring fever

But now never again fall in ill

Peach blossom is falling

No sorrow even if it falls

You can taste sweet peach fruits after when it falls

Everything can bear fruits after when blossom falls

We are destined to falling someday

What kind of fruit could we bear when we fall?

Can we throw A HOPE into this world?

사랑이란

사랑은 타는 목마름이다

또한 사랑은 채워질 수 없는 배고픔이다

사랑을 열병이라고 했던가?

사랑을 거짓말이라고 했던가?

사랑을 한 줄기 광풍이라고 했던가?

정직은 최선의 정책인가?

정직은 최선의 정책이 아니다

가끔 요령 있게 거짓말을 하는 것이 최선이다

정직과 솔직함은 당신을 상처 입힐 수 있다 *

좋은 의미에서 기술적으로 거짓말 하는 것을 배워야 한다

왜냐하면 정직은 당신이나 그녀 모두를 상처 입힐 수 있기 때문이다

공개된 편지는 더 이상 신비롭지 않다

다른 사람의 관심을 끌지 못 한다

당신의 내면의 말 못할 비밀은 죽을 때 까지 숨겨야 한다

쇼핑은 일종의 오르가슴이다

Shopping is a kind of orgasm.

탐욕은 죄이다

지나치면 죄인 것이다

욕심과 노여움과 어리석음 중에 으뜸은 욕심이라 할 수 있다**

우리에게 거동할 건강이 있고 자가건 전월세건 거처할 집이 있고

먹고 마실 음식이 있으면 만족할 줄 알아야 한다. 입을 옷은 덤이다

그 이상을 바라는 것은 탐심이다

즉 먹을 음식과 마실 물만 있으면 피조물은 살아갈 수 있다

그 이상은 덤으로 주어진 것이다

우리가 이 세상에 올 때 벌거숭이로 왔으니 더 말해 무얼 하겠는가?

삼가 모든 탐심을 물리치라. 사람의 생명이 그 소유의 넉넉한데 있지 아니하니라.

나의 아내 S

자기 마누라를 자랑하는 사람을 팔불출의 하나라고 한다

친구는 내가 결혼을 참 잘했다고 말했다.

나는 아내가 자랑스럽다.

기꺼이 바보임을 인정한다.

결혼한 지 40여년이 흘렀다.

그동안 아내는 어려운 결혼생활을 해왔다

나 때문에

한 때는 내가 아파서, 다른 때는 나의 고집이 그녀를 괴롭혔다.

나 또한 고집을 부려서는 안 된다고 안다. 그게 내 뜻대로 되지 않았다

어쨌든 나는 나의 아내를 자랑하겠다.

그녀는 아름답고, 좋은 아내이며, 아들과 딸에게 좋은 엄마, 3명의 손자 손녀에게는

**누가 현숙한 여인을 찾아 얻겠느냐. 그의 값은 진주보다 더하니라 (잠언 31:10)

****고운 것도 거짓되고 아름다운 것도 헛되나 오직 여호와를 경외하는 여자는 칭찬을 받을 것이다 (잠언 31:30)

They say one who brags of his wife is one of eight fools..

A friend of mine told me I got married a good wife.

I am proud of my wife. Willing I admit that I am a fool.

40 years passed after we got married

During that times she suffered a hard married life

Because of me. Sometimes my illness, other times my stubbornness

Distressed her.

I also know that I should not be like that, but that’s out of my will

Any way now I am gonna boast of her determinedly

She is a beautiful woman, a good wife, a good mother of son and daughter,

A good grand mother of three grand children

A wife of noble character*

A prudent wife**

A woman who fears the Lord***

That’s O.K. What about you?

How many times did you make her

or a good-natured wife sad and cry?

Repent KING OF HEAVEN IS NEAR

*A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown (proverbs 12:4 )

**A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies (proverbs 31:10)

***A prudent wife is from the Lord (proverbs 19:14)

***Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;

But a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised (proverbs 31:30)

음식은 맛이 있어야 하고

영화나 소설은 흥미진진해야한다

세상만사 재미가 있어야한다

사람도 재미가 있어야 또 만나지

고리타분하고 고지식한 사람은 딱 질색이다

강의도 재미가 있어야 수강생이 모인다

지루하고 따분한 것을 좋아할 사람은 아무도 없다

사람 사는 것도 재미가 있어야한다

무미건조한 삶은 싫다

설교나 설법도 재미가 있어야 한다

교인들이 하품하고, 졸게 해서는 안 된다

나는 재미없는 천국 보다

재미있는 지옥을 택하겠다

Food must be delicious

Movie and novel must be interesting

All worldly matters must be fun

Man is also fun so as to meet again

A mean and rigid man is disgust.

Lecture may be interesting to attract students

There are no one to like dull and boring lecture

Human living must be also fun

I dislike a meaningless and tasteless living

I′d like to choose fun hell

Rather than uninteresting paradise

속리산 법주사

잠시 붓다의 가르침을 묵상한다

절로 올라가는 숲길을 걸으며

속리(俗離)라는 단어가 의미하듯 세속으로부터 멀어지고 싶다

법주사(法住寺) 진리가 머무르는 곳

침묵의 소리에 기대어 들어야 하리라

속인이 어찌 불법을 알겠느냐 만은

산에서 내려오자 소나기가 세차게 내렸다

진리란 마음속의 더러운 때를 씻어내는 소나기 같은 것

끝없는 길, 인생길, 진리를 찾고자 하는 길

가고 또 가고

점심을 먹고 나서 이빨 사이에 음식이 끼면

그렇게 불편할 수 없다.

그러나 양치질을 하거나 치간 칫솔로 음식 찌꺼기를 빼내면

그렇게 시원할 수 없다.

고란 이빨 사이에 낀 음식과 같다

해탈이란 그 음식 찌꺼기를 빼낸 후의 시원함이다

But putting out the food dregs by means of

탐진강 물축제의 추억

내 고향 장흥, 문림의향, 문학관광기행특구*

그 장흥읍을 관통하여 흐르는 전남 3대 江인 탐진강 해 마다 7월말 쯤 열리는 정남진 장흥 탐진강 물축제에 오다**

살찐 여인의 둔부 같이 물 많은 탐진강

그 강이 수 많은 문인 들을 낳았다***

탐진강 물축제

물고기를 손으로 잡는 아이들, 인공다리를 건너가는 어른들, 그야말로 장흥 사람만이 아니라 세계인이 즐기는 축제이다

내년 7월에는 다시 한 번 장흥 탐진강 물축제에 가고 싶다

My hometown JangHeung, Literature Forest Righteous town, and “Literature & Tourist Special District.*

The TamJinKang, river flows through that town one of 3 rivers in Chunnam.

TamJinKang’s Aqua Festival** holds at the end of July of every year.

Like the fat women’hips much water TamJinKang flows.

That river beget a lot of literary man and women***

There are children catching fishes by hand, adults

crossing over the artificial bridge

So it deserves a called global feast

I’d like to come to that festival look forward to next year

나의 아내 S

자기 마누라를 자랑하는 사람을 팔불출의 하나라고 한다

친구는 내가 결혼을 참 잘했다고 말했다.

나는 아내가 자랑스럽다.

기꺼이 바보임을 인정한다.

결혼한 지 40여년이 흘렀다.

그동안 아내는 어려운 결혼생활을 해왔다

나 때문에

한 때는 내가 아파서, 다른 때는 나의 고집이 그녀를 괴롭혔다.

A friend of mine told me I got married a good wife.

40 years passed after we got married

During that times she suffered a hard married life

Because of me. Sometimes my illness, other times my stubbornness

I also know that I should not be like that, but that’s out of my will

법주사(法住寺) 진리가 머무르는 곳

침묵의 소리에 기대어 들어야 하리라

속인이 어찌 불법을 알겠느냐 만은

산에서 내려오자 소나기가 세차게 내렸다

진리란 마음속의 더러운 때를 씻어내는 소나기 같은 것

끝없는 길, 인생길, 진리를 찾고자 하는 길

고란 이빨 사이에 낀 음식과 같다

해탈이란 그 음식 찌꺼기를 빼낸 후의 시원함이다

탐진강 물축제의 추억

내 고향 장흥, 문림의향, 문학관광기행특구*

그 장흥읍을 관통하여 흐르는 전남 3대 江인 탐진강 해 마다 7월말 쯤 열리는 정남진 장흥 탐진강 물축제에 오다**

살찐 여인의 둔부 같이 물 많은 탐진강

그 강이 수 많은 문인 들을 낳았다***

탐진강 물축제

물고기를 손으로 잡는 아이들, 인공다리를 건너가는 어른들, 그야말로 장흥 사람만이 아니라 세계인이 즐기는 축제이다

내년 7월에는 다시 한 번 장흥 탐진강 물축제에 가고 싶다

The TamJinKang, river flows through that town one of 3 rivers in Chunnam.

TamJinKang’s Aqua Festival** holds at the end of July of every year.

Like the fat women’hips much water TamJinKang flows.

That river beget a lot of literary man and women***

So it deserves a called global feast

I’d like to come to that festival look forward to next year

법주사 가는 길

서울에서 버스로 3시간

속리산 법주사

잠시 붓다의 가르침을 묵상한다

절로 올라가는 숲길을 걸으며

속리(俗離)라는 단어가 의미하듯 세속으로부터 멀어지고 싶다

법주사(法住寺) 진리가 머무르는 곳

침묵의 소리에 기대어 들어야 하리라

속인이 어찌 불법을 알겠느냐 만은

산에서 내려오자 소나기가 세차게 내렸다

진리란 마음속의 더러운 때를 씻어내는 소나기 같은 것

끝없는 길, 인생길, 진리를 찾고자 하는 길

가고 또 가고

진실불허(眞實不虛)

인생도 진정 비어있는 것은 아니다

On my way to BubJu-sa, temple

After three hours by bus from Seoul

BubJu-sa, temple at SokRI-san, mountain*

For a while meditate on the teachings of Buddha

While walking alone the forest path toward the temple

As SokRi means I want to separate myself from the secular world

BubJu-sa, temple where truth exists

I must lean and listen to that sound of silence

How common man knows the truth?

When coming down from the mountain, it showered heavily

Truth is like same as shower to wash dirty dust in mind.

Endless way, life path, the road to seek after truth

To go on and go on

Truth not empty

Life is not empty indeed
